Walking: Strollers 👟
The Strollers Group meets every third Wednesday of the month. These walks are 2½ to 4 miles. We try to visit a place of interest en route and usually manage to find a tea shop. Places have included Valley Gardens at Harrogate, Roundhay Park, Ripley, and Saltaire/Shipley Glen. We are planning some canal and riverside walks, Ripon parks, York river walk. Our enjoyment is from the surroundings and the company.

Shadwell to Oakwood
Easy/Medium - 4 Miles
Meet at Moortown Bus Stop, by the Doctors' Surgery (opposite the shops), for the 10.40am 75 Bus to Shadwell.
There’s off-Street parking behind the Virgin Bank.
We begin our walk from the Red Lion pub, across the fields, to Roundhay Gorge, the Lake and Oakwood.
Good footwear, sticks, etc will be needed.
Coffee/lunch in Oakwood.
Regular No. 2 Bus back to Moortown.
