Masters of Photography
Looking at major photographers – their lives and their work
In each session we look at the lives of one or two photographers (living or dead) and a sample of the photographs they have taken. How did their career unfold, who were they influenced by, who did they collaborate with and what are they best known for? These are some of the questions we set out to answer.
The tutor will be Lloyd Spencer who has a wealth of knowledge about the subject, and an extensive collection of literature and photographs for us to view.
We are a group of about 12 people and if you are interested in joining us or would like to know more about the sessions, then please contact Peter Smith (Group Leader). Contact details are in the programme. You are welcome to attend one of the sessions for free, and to decide whether it is right for you (there will be no pressure to join).
The group meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month, at Northlight Arts Centre, 31 Potternewton Road, Chapel Allerton, Leeds LS7 3LW.
We also hold a Zoom session every 2nd Wednesday.
We start at 11.00 am and finish at 12.30pm.
