Walking: 7Up 🧭
Welcome to the 7 Up walking group which, as the name implies, provides walks of any distance over 7 miles. The walks will be on the 4th Wednesday of every month and details of these walks will be posted on the programme below, along with the contact number of the walk leader.
All walks will be circular unless otherwise stated. Walkers should wear footwear and clothing suitable to the terrain and weather conditions. Food and drink and a sit mat are also advisable.
Walkers are reminded that they attend walks in this programme at their own risk, and that they are responsible for their own safety.

8.5 Mile Circular: Pannal/Beckwithshaw
The walk starts at Crimple Meadows, Pannal, opposite the church at 10.30am. This can be reached by bus or car. We are going to walk to Beckwithshaw across fields, through small woods, over becks and return to Pannal in quiet country lanes, fields and woods. The area is gently undulating, so this is not a strenuous walk.

5 Mile Circular: Roundhay Park
The walk starts at the Red Lion, Main Street, Shadwell, LS17 8HH. From here, we will do a 5 to 5.5 mile circular walk round Roundhay Park and finish with our Christmas Lunch at the Red Lion. We would normally do this on the Wednesday between Christmas and New Year, but as both of these fall on a Wednesday, we have brought this forward to this date.
The walk starts at 10.30am, so please park at the Red Lion at 10.15am. We have the landlord’s permission for this and he has requested that, as far as possible, we park at the back left section of the car park. If you would like to meet to car share at MASSC, please be there at 10.00am. If coming by bus, the 7S stops at the Red Lion just after 10.20am.
So that we know who is joining us, would you please let us know how you will be arriving. Our aim is to be back and ready for lunch at 1.30pm. A couple of weeks before, we will be sending out the menu for you to advise us of your food choices. Please dress according to the weather of the day – which is a bit unpredictable at the moment!
